Acronis 2018

Post by Irabbit » November 27th, 2017, 4:38 pm

One of the options in the 2018 version is called Acronis Active Protection. This is supposed to provide protection against ransomeware. Anyone have any information as to how effective this might be and whether or not it provides any more protection than A/V such as the Sophos home product?

Hands down better than any other consumer data backup tool available... but I don't consider it an A/V product.

I was having issues with scrolling web pages. I thought the Acronis Active Protection was turned off. It had been off, but somehow it got turned on. I turned that off and the scrolling is back to normal. The3 Acronis Acrive Protection was significantly affecting performace. Not a good thing.
