intel i7 870 2.93GHz 8GB ram. I do not remember any black screen lasting very long when I updated from Windows 7 to 10 but when the new upgrade is available to me from Windows Update I will be more patient.. The hard drive light was on bright solid and I could hear the hard drive working but I just assumed that after 20 minutes it was just stuck and could not get to the 'Windows is updating' screen. I will let you know how it works out. Thanks

the link to the iso tool works if you want to do inplace upgrade ....
when ever you see a HD ligh on solid its working on something

Successfully installed the upgrade yesterday using the link you posted. Took just over an hour to download and about two more hours to install and update. Went smoothly. As I have a desktop computer with no touch screen most of the improvements are under the hood. Nice that Edge can finally add some extensions.

yeah I did a couple of more of them and you need to pack a lunch
def better with touch screen ;)
I did have one however where partitions got hidden that was a mess going to try another route with them ....good thing I had image backups

Yes I did a full image backup with Acronis before doing the upgrade
