Violent video games harmless for most kids

Violent video games can increase aggression and hostility in some players but they can also benefit others by honing their visual/spatial skills and improving social networking ability, scientists said.

"Violent video games are like peanut butter," said Christopher J. Ferguson, of Texas A&M International University. "They are harmless for the vast majority of kids but are harmful to a small minority with pre-existing personality or mental health problems."

Regular participation in a rugby league can accomplish all them same things for a lot less money and to the un-ending physical benefit of the large numbers of pitifully over-weight children (and adults) that hours of sedentary gaming is so good at producing.

Rugby? In the States? Surely you jest?
We have football (not the soccer one) for the kids to beat up on one another.
And we encourage the little fat kids to eat up and play the frontline.

I used that technique "fake death" at my old office to get people to leave me alone.
If it didn't work, then I'd pretend to be "brain damaged".
